Vinegar and Herb Bath
- 2 sprigs of rosemary
- 4 sprigs of lavender
- 2 cups of apple cider vinegar
Add to warm bath water and soak for 10-15 minutes.
Good for sunburn and skin irritation.
Ginger and Rosemary oil bath
- 1 small chunk of fresh ginger, unpeeled
- 4 sprigs of fresh rosemary
- 4 tablespoons of baby oil
Add ingredients to warm water bath. Soak until water is tepid.
Towel dry and dress in warm flannel.
This warm water bath treatment is good for fibromyalgia.
Combine 1 egg white, 1 tablespoon of honey, and 1/4 teaspoon of an herb such as chamomile, fennel, lemon grass or mint leaves. Whisk or blend for about 2 minutes , or until mixture is creamy. Apply to face and throat. Let the mask dry entirely, about 15 minutes. Rinse the mask off with warm water and gently pat the skin dry. This facial preparation is wonderful for tightening skin and shrinking large pores.
Add the following 1/4 cup of the herb to a quart of warm water depending on hair color.
- Chamomile for blondes
- Rosemary for red heads
- Sage for brunettes
- Lavender for gray, white or color treated hair
To lighten dark areas on heels and elbows
Mix together 1/4 cup of lemon juice, 1/4 cup of baking soda, and 1/4 cup of chamomile flowers. Apply the mixture to heels and elbows. Let dry for about 10 minutes, then rinse off. You can also soak your feet in a mixture of lavender buds, warm water and distilled white vinegar. This will lighten toenails and dark heels.
