Healing Herbal Teas
Upset Tummy
1 teaspoon peppermint leaves
1 teaspoon lemon balm leaves
Add herbs to a large mug, pour in 1 cup of boiling water
Steep 5 minutes, strain and drink.
Nausea
1/2 teaspoon dried or fresh ginger root
1/2 teaspoon red clover
1teaspoon chamomile flowers
Add herbs to a large mug, pour in 1 cup of boiling water
Steep 3 or 4 minutes, strain and drink.
Bladder Infections [ minor ]
1 teaspoon goldenseal
1/2 teaspoon juniper berries
5 chopped rose hips
Add herbs to a large mug, pour in 1 cup of boiling water
Steep 3 minutes, strain and drink. You may drink up to 3 cups per day to flush the bladder
Anxiety
1teaspoon vervain leaves
1teaspoon lemon balm leaves
1teaspoon orange mint
Add herbs to a large mug, add 1 or 2 cups of boiling water
Steep 3 or 4 minutes, strain and drink. Honey or fresh lemon may be added to mask the taste of the vervain
For menstrual cramps
1 tablespoon red clover flowers
2 cups of boiling water
Add the clover to a large mug, pour in the water
Steep for 5 minutes, strain, then sip slowly. Use a heating pad on your stomach while drinking the tea.
Sleep Aid
1 tablespoon chamomile flowers
1 tablespoon lavender
Add the herbs to a large mug, add 1 cup of boiling water
Steep, strain and drink while hot
Relaxing Tea
1 cinnamon stick
1 sprig of rosemary
1 clove
Add the herbs to a large mug, pour in 1 cup of boiling water
Steep, strain and sip slowly. Have a piece of fresh fruit and let the cares of the day slip away
Spicy Ginger Tea
2 large rounds of fresh ginger
1teaspoon of orange mint
2 fresh orange slices
Add the herbs and the orange slices to a large mug, pour in 1 cup of boiling water
Steep, strain and sip while hot. Especially good on a snowy afternoon
Sage tea
1 tablespoon of fresh, chopped sage leaves
2 twists of fresh lemon peel
Add the sage and lemon peel to a mug, add 1 cup of boiling water
Steep, strain and enjoy. A wonderful tea for a sore throat.
Feel Better Soon Tea
1 tablespoon dried calendula flowers
1 tablespoon dried spearmint
1 twist of fresh lemon
Add the herbs and twist of lemon to large mug, or a teapot. Pour in 1 cup of boiling water
Steep a minute or two, strain and enjoy hot. You can add sugar or honey
